Evidence of Action
Evidence of Action is the evidence of a daily action, repeated 35 times, using marks traced directly from my body abstracted through repetition and process. The first day of printing shows evidence of only a single etch, the final 35. Each day the marks on the plate were drawn and etched based only on the marks of the previous day, not the original tracing, causing the marks to become abstracted and distanced from the original, similar to that of recalling a memory, game of telephone or palimpsest.
This project was made possible with support from Arts Nova Scotia.
